Chocolate Fondue
Dinner's a party when appetizers become the main course — or the dessert, as with this easy-to-make, fun-to-eat chocolate fondue. When my son was 4, he used to call it "frudités" — a cross between fruit and crudités that was, come to think of it, kind of clever.
Hands-On Time: 15 minutes
Ready In: 20 minutes
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 teaspoon vanilla
Assorted cut up fruit, pound cake cubes and marshmallows (for dipping)
- Melt together chocolate chips and half-and-half either by sittting in the top of a double boiler over simmering heat or by heating in microwave for a couple of minutes, stopping every 30 seconds or so to stir. Stir in vanilla, then serve.
