Harry Potter-Inspired Pumpkin Juice

Some time ago I decided I would try to single out all the food references in the Harry Potter books and come up with some recipes for them as special treats for my kids. Since Hogwarts Pumpkin Juice is mentioned in every HP book, I thought it would be a good place to start.

Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients
5 cups apple juice
1 cup pumpkin puree
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- Combine all in a large pitcher and stir well.
- Let it sit for an hour or so in the refrigerator and then strain out the solids.
- Put back in the refrigerator until it's ice cold, and serve.
