Princess Cinderella Cake

My 3-year-old daughter has fallen in love with all things Cinderella. So I took one of her coloring pages and did my best to recreate her beauty.

You'll need:

  • Your favorite cake mix
  • Your favorite buttercream frosting
  • Various icing colors for the drawing
Instructions:

1. A few days in advance, cover a coloring page with wax paper and trace the image in buttercream using an icing tip. Then color in the picture with various icing colors. When done, gently smooth the icing. Be careful not to disturb the lines. Use white icing to fill in the rest of the wax paper so that your transfer will line up with the size cake you chose. Freeze for at least 24 hours.

2. Bake cake and let it cool. Coat with buttercream frosting and lay the icing transfer on top. Finish decorating to your taste.
