Smoothies are the perfect drink for today's "gotta go" lifestyle nutritious and easy to make, using ingredients that are available everywhere. They are an ideal breakfast or between-meal snack and everyone loves them, especially finicky kids. But if you are living a low-carb lifestyle, many of the ingredients, such as sweeteners and some fruits, are off limits. Until now.
Dana Carpender, low-carb guru and best-selling cookbook author, has taken her recipe make-over magic straight to the blender with her new book, "Low-Carb Smoothies."
She's created a new collection of 50 sweet and delicious smoothies and lattes that are also nutritious and quick to make. Best of all, the low-sugar drinks are perfect for kids and adults alike.
