Our Camping Cookout Menu
One of our family favorites is "Potato-Ball". We cut up peeled potatoes, cut up carrotts, a few large pieces of onion, a couple dollops of butter, salt and some pepper, and wrap it all up in a few large sheets of foil. Place that on top of the fire grate, or next to it on the fire ring rock, or even buried under some hot coals for about 30 minutes. It'll all simmer in there together. The onions an be pulled out and all the kids are left with is great tasting carrots and potatoes. Enjoy!

When I was a Girl Scout, one of my favorite camping dinners was Ranger Stew - it was simply browned ground beef mixed with cans of vegetable soup, but it sure was good!

We've been considering a camp-out this summer ... you may have just inspired us to go for it!

If you're looking for something fast and easy on the trail, consider some just-add-water meals like pad thai, oatmeal, or soups. Very convenient when you're on the go!

Our favorite morning dish, camping or not, is hot dogs and eggs. The kids love it and my husband loves making it.
