My dughter is 7 and I dont let her watch anything but disney channel, animal planet and sometimes nick depending whats on. The secret life of an american teenager is definetly not something any child under the age of 16 should watch, everyshow is about sex. I watch it and I am 24.

i agree totally!! 90210--i would prefer my 15 year old not watch that--let alone my 12 year old!! The disney and nick channel have decent shows about friends and first crushes--not making out and making babies!! We need to let our kids grow up gradually--not helping them to be 18-20 when they are 12!

Tweens are from ages 9-10 to 13 right? So, why would they be watching tv shows like gossip girl that promote inapporiate behaviours or the secret life of an american teen which is about teenage pregancy, which doesn't show real life and the girl for the most part has it preety easy. I don't think we should be letting our young teens never mind tweens watch these shows.Lets teach our children right and wrong and help them, instead of rotting the brains with unreal tv teen life.
