Princess Party #2 Ariel, The Little Mermaid
Crafts and Treats: Made to look like the recognizable marine animal, these sand dollars are transformed into a tasty party treat. And a starfish, a relative of the sand dollar, makes a perfect party craft. For cake, choose from two sea-worthy options: Mermaid and Under the Sea. The mermaid cake can be customized by frosting the cupcakes red to match Ariel's hair color. Then, use green Necco wafers for her tail and purple wafers for her bikini top and viola, Ariel comes to life!
Decorations & Goodies: Use sea shells and fish netting as table decorations. At the end of the party, hand out a small plastic sand pail as a goodie bag, filled with stickers, and other oceanic giveaway items.
Games: Print out a picture of Ariel as a mermaid and enlarge it with a color copier. Make an extra copy of the larger image and cut out the tip of Ariel's tail. Now, you and your girls are ready for a homemade game of Pin the Tail on the Mermaid!"
Musical chairs is another engaging party activity for little ones and is easy to pull together. The irresistible Caribbean beat of "Under the Sea" makes it the perfect pick for the kids to dance and sing to while walking around the circle of chairs.
