Kali is way too cute in this 50's costume! It was so easy to make but it was also a little different. The poodle skirt is accented with a silver stone for collar and sequin black leash. There is also a matching black sequin belt. To top it all off are the ADORABLE hand made rhinestone shoes -- love it!

Prep Time: 2 hours

Costume Materials

  • pink felt
  • black sequin strand
  • thicker black sequin for belt
  • iron-on poodle
  • silver rhinestone for collar
  • 2 packages of rhinestones for shoes
  • pink ribbon
  • then you provide your own white shirt and sweater!
Costume Instructions
  1. EASY!!! The pink skirt was simply cut out to fit my daughter. There was NO sewing for the hem of the skirt, it was just cut. I even used a safety pin to fasten it in the back.
  2. The black sequin leash was hand sewn on as was the poodle and rhinestone.
  3. You simply add your own shirt and sweater!
  4. The shoes are a MUST for this outfit. I used the E3000 glue which had a convenient nozzle so it made applying the rhinestones easy. I put rhinestones all over the fron white part of the black converse shoes and swaped the laces out for pink ribbon.
  5. The best part is she can use these shoes when Halloween is over! We got SO many compliments on this costume and she even won the local Halloween costume contest...the best part was it was the easiest and cheapest costume I have ever done!
