No-Sew Scarecrow Costume

Cute, quick, and easy! Use scraps of ribbon, fabric, raffia, and silk leaves from the floral dept. Hot glue onto overalls and an old rain hat for an easy, adorable costume. Your little cutie will have people flocking to him/her instead of scaring the crows away.
Prep Time: 30 minutes or less
Costume Materials
- denim overalls
- orange shirt
- silk leaves
- silk flowers
- felt
- ribbon
- raffia
- glue
- Find and orange shirt and a pair of denim overalls.
- Cut fabric from felt and ribbon to look like patches using pinking shears.
- Remove leaves and flowers from stems - arrange on overalls.
- Hot glue items onto overalls being careful not to glue the fabric all the way through otherwise little legs won't fit through.
- Find an old hat and basket - do the same as step #4 (I made the hat from felt, but you can use any old hat).
- Tie a bow out of raffia and glue that to the front of the costume.
- To add the raffia to the legs, I attached it first to ribbon and then hot glued it on. By keeping it on top of the pants, little legs aren't itchy.
