Friendly Giraffe Costume

Costume Materials
- Brown sweatsuit (pants and sweatshirt with hood)
- Giraffe print material
- Giraffe mask
- Long piece of foam for tail
- Black fur for mane and tail
- Fabri-Tac fabric glue
- Accessories: black gloves and stuffed animal, if you have one
- Cut out a number of different shapes of the giraffe print material and place them all over the sweatsuit. Use the fabric glue to attach each piece.
- Cover the foam piece with the giraffe print material for the tail and glue a piece of black fur to the end of the tail. Pin the tail on the seat of the sweatpants.
- Cut a long piece of black fur for the mane and use the fabric glue to attach the mane from the hood of the sweatshirt to the back of it.
- Buy a foam giraffe mask from your local zoo, children's museum or dollar store (cost approx. $1 or $2). If you cannot locate one, you can use brown, black and tan face paint to make a giraffe face on your child's face yourself.
