| Seasons: Christmas | |
| Materials: fabric, toy animal | |
| Instructions: | |
| 1. | To make one, first help your child wrap a 13- by 15-inch
piece of fiberfill around a brick, securing it in place with duct
tape. Now wrap a 16- by 19-inch piece of fabric around the brick
as well, folding the ends under (as if gift-wrapping a present)
and securing the fabric to the underside of the brick with duct
tape.
|
| 2. | For a pillow, wrap a 6-inch square of fabric around a 2- by
4-inch piece of fiberfill, securing the fabric with tape as you
did the brick, then hot-glue the pillow tape-side down at one end
of the bed. Next, fix a pair of critters (such as finger puppets
or small stuffed animals) in place with hot glue. If necessary,
glue a piece of fiberfill on the bed to create a bump for the
critters' bodies.
|
| 3. | Finally, cut a 9 1/2- by 11-inch piece of polar fleece for
a
blanket, rounding the edges at one end. Cover the slumberers with the blanket and hot-glue it in place. |
