Here's an idea from the "wish we'd done it sooner" files: hang a roll of paper from a closet door to give your child easy access to a continuous canvas that's perfectly proportioned for both her small stature and her enormous creativity. For convenience, use that same closet to store art supplies, including newspaper (to tape on the door) and an old vinyl tablecloth (to spread on the floor for messier projects).

Tips
If your door has panels, tape a piece of cardboard behind the paper to give your child a flat drawing surface.

What you need:
	Pair of over-the-door hooks Large roll of paper Curtain rod Tape

Materials: paper
Instructions:
1.	To make the easel, hang a pair of over-the-door hooks from your door, then thread a large roll of paper onto a curtain rod and set it in the hooks, as shown below (we got our setup at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for about $15).
2.	Whenever you want to use the easel, pull the paper down to the bottom of the door and tape it in place at the top and bottom (that way, your tot can't pull the roll into a giant heap on the floor). Keep the tape and scissors nearby so you can easily refresh the canvas as needed.
