It's hard to resist the appeal of putt-ering around the yard on a weekend afternoon. All it takes to get a quick game underway is a few plastic practice golf balls and the following easy-to-make props.

| 3-liter plastic soda bottle
Colored tape Markers Cardboard Cardboard tubes Duct tape | |

| 1. | Instant Golf Holes: For each one, trim the bottom off a 3-liter plastic soda bottle, then cut out an arched hole (ours was 3-1/4 inches wide and 4 inches tall) in the base. |
| 2. | Use colored tape and markers to decorate and number the bottle. |

Makeshift Clubs: Fold a 3- by 11-1/2-inch piece of
cardboard around the bottom of a long, sturdy cardboard tube
(ours came from a roll of wrapping paper). Wrap duct tape around
the two pieces to secure them together, then wrap the rest of the
tube.
