Sunny spring weather is meant to be enjoyed. So postpone laundry day and use your clothesline for an activity young artists will get pumped up about. In lieu of brushes and paper, they get to use pump bottles filled with homemade spray paints and cloth canvases (pieces of an old bedsheet).

Prep Time: Under 1 hour
What you need:
 Dry tempera paint

Water

Liquid dish soap
Seasons: Spring, Summer, Year round
Materials: fabric, paints
Instructions:
1.For each hue, simply combine 1 cup of dry tempera paint with 1-1/2 cups of water and 1/2 teaspoon of liquid dish soap (to help keep the nozzle from clogging) and stir well, until there are no powdery lumps left.
2.Once their masterpieces have dried, your kids can turn them into impressionistic flags or banners for a fort or clubhouse.
