| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Glue a photo to a piece of card stock, poster board, or mat board. |
| 2. | Once the glue dries, map out your design by placing pencil dots where your stitch holes will be; for shapes, put a template on the photo and add your dots. |
| 3. | Place your photo design on a piece of scrap wood and punch holes into the dots with a large nail and small hammer. |
| 4. | Thread a thick, large-eyed embroidery needle with the yarn color of your choice, knot the end of the yarn, and sew your design. For the alternating colors shown here, stitch with one shade, then rethread your needle with a second shade and sew in the opposite direction. |
