| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Click
here
to print out the box template on card stock or paper (card stock
will work better).
(To view the .pdf file, you'll need Adobe Reader. which is available for free from the Adobe site.) |
| 2. | Carefully cut out the shape along the solid outline. |
| 3. | Cut opposing slits on the tabs that form the box's lid, as
indicated on the diagram to the left. |
| 4. | Using a ruler and the tip of an unclicked pen or a paper
clip, press along the dotted and dashed lines (dashes indicate
"mountain" folds, and dots, "valley" folds). The scoring makes
folding the box easier. |
| 5. | Make the 4 folds for the bottom of the box. |
| 6. | Next, starting at any corner, fold the middle of each
triangular section toward what will be the inside of the box. A
bit of glue or tape on the folds will help the box keep its
shape, but it isn't absolutely necessary |
| 7. | Once you've folded all the corners, fold over the side
flaps, and then the 2 lid flaps, interlocking their opposing
slits. |
