These glow-in-the dark Witch Doctor Necklaces are sure to fill the prescription of fun for everyone at your next Halloween party!
| Prep Time: About 1 hour | |
| What you need: | |
| Glow-in-the-dark polymer clay (we used Fimo Soft clay; 1
package makes about ten 1 1/2-inch-long bones, though smaller and
larger bones also work for the necklace)
Toothpick Hemp cord Assorted beads | |
| Seasons: Halloween | |
| Materials: clay | |
| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Knead the clay; even though the label says "soft," you
really want it nice and squishy.
|
| 2. | For each bone, make 4 small balls and 1 cylinder out of the clay. Squash 2 balls onto each end of the cylinder. Smooth the clay to blend your seams. |
| 3. | On one end of the bone, use a toothpick to make a hole that's big enough for the hemp cord to fit through. |
| 4. | Place the bones on an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet and bake them according to the package directions. Unless you're a fire troll, let the bones cool for 10 minutes so you don't burn your fingers on the next step. |
| 5. | When you can safely pick them up, string the bones and beads on a piece of hemp cord and knot the ends to create a necklace. Turn out the lights and watch your Witch Doctor Necklace glow! |
