| Instructions: | |
| 1. | To make Grandma, the Woodsman, and Little Red Riding Hood, cut out the matching front and back of a one-piece outfit to a spoon-shaped craft stick. |
| 2. | Make hands and feet from two standard craft sticks: use a
craft knife (a parent's job) to score them 1 inch from each end,
snap these ends off, and glue them onto the sleeves and bottom
hem of each outfit . |
| 3. | Glue on the front of the outfit and add details: hair, eyes, a marker mouth, hole-punched foam polka dots, a felt hood, hats, and a foam ax with a foil blade for our hero. |
| 4. | Use a craft knife to poke a hole in each hand and in each end of a standard craft stick (a parent's job). |
| 5. | Then use a needle and clear thread to attach the puppet to the control stick ( you may need to attach a thread to the head for stability). |
Variations
For the wolf's body, glue together 2 large brown pom-poms.
Add a third for the head and 2 small pom-poms for the tail and
nose, then add pipe-cleaner legs and ears, googly eyes, and foam
teeth. Loop thread around his head for hanging.
