Create this wacky card, it's really not that hard. It comes with a greeting from this bird that delivers the righteous word.

Template
8 1/2" by 11" sheet of light blue paper Orange, yellow, and light blue paper Glue stick Scissors Ruler Markers Googly eyes -- small (optional) | |

| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Fold the light blue sheet in half length-wise and then again so it looks like a card. |
| 2. | Cut out Bird shapes and 4 1/2" by 2" light blue rectangle. Fold bird body and beak in half vertically. Fold bird wings as shown on the Invitation Template. Fold light blue rectangle in half then fold under a 1/2" tab on each end. To view the template (.pdf file), you'll need Acrobat Reader. |
| 3. | Apply glue to 1/2" tabs and press them onto inside of card, lining up the middle creases of the rectangle and the card. |
| 4. | Close card and glue 3-4 bird tracks to front of card. Write message (You are Invited...) on card front too. |
| 5. | Open card and glue bird body atop rectangle tab, lining the middle creases. Glue on bird legs and eyes (or draw on eyes). |
| 6. | Apply glue to the side tips of the beak and press it around the creased bird head, so that the crease in the beak is lined with crease of the bird's body. |
| 7. | Add written message to the inside of the card. For example:
"When the clock strikes two The Birthday Bird will know just what to do Come help us spread our birthday cheer There will be games, gifts, and cake never you fear It's Ryan's birthday surpise All we ask is the children be picked up at five" |
