One way to turn a bunch of legumes into more than a hill of beans is to arrange them into a colorful mosaic.

Prep Time: About 2 to 3 hours
What you need:
 Corrugated cardboard
Pencil
White glue
Paintbrush
Assortment of dried beans and peas
Tweezers (optional)
Seasons: Year round
Materials: cardboard, food items
Instructions:
1.To begin, sketch a design on the cardboard -- a simple stick figure, a geometric shape or a more detailed scene. Use the paintbrush to cover a small portion of the design with a thick coat of white glue.
2.Now arrange beans on top of the glued area, following the drawn figures and shapes. (A pair of tweezers comes in handy for positioning smaller legumes.)
3.Continue in this manner until the entire design is filled in. Then, allow the glue to dry completely before setting the mosaic upright.
