Take your kids for a spin around the neighborhood with a toy gyrocopter. You can make one in five easy steps.

Tips
Your child can drop the finished gyrocopter from an elevated spot, and it should spin to the ground.

Prep Time: Under 1 hour
What you need:
 One sheet of plain paper
Pinking shears or scissors
One paper clip
Seasons: Year round
Materials: paper
Instructions:
1.Cut out a 6 1/2-inch-long by 1 1/2-inch-wide strip of paper. (Note: We found that using pinking shears made the gyrocopter fly better, but one cut out with ordinary scissors works well too.)
2.Paper GyrocopterStarting at the top, cut a 3-inch slit down through the middle of the strip to create a pair of wings.
3.Fold the wings down in opposite directions from one another.
4.Attach a paper clip to the bottom of the strip for weight.
