Black poster board or heavy construction paper Tacky glue Glitter Small black plastic plate 2 googly eyes Two 1-inch black pom-poms ½-inch red pom-pom Black gift bag | |
| Seasons: Halloween | |
| Materials: cardboard, paper | |
| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Start with eight long, tapered legs cut from the black
poster board or construction paper. (The legs should be a couple
of inches longer than your gift bag. Our spider's legs are 12
inches long for our 10-inch-tall bag.) Outline the edges of each
leg with tacky glue, then sprinkle on some glitter (or use
glitter glue) and let them dry. |
| 2. | Transform the bottom of the plastic plate into the spider's face with a glue and glitter mouth, eyebrows, and outline, as shown. Glue on the googly eyes and black pom-poms for eyeballs and a red pom-pom nose. Let dry. |
| 3. | Attach two legs to each side of the bag, curving the tops
over, then glue the face onto the front. When the glue has dried
completely, your spider is ready for a night on the town.
