| Instructions: | |
| 1. | To make the photo, set up a snow-covered hill in your house using sofa pillows or a futon. Cover the hill with white quilt batting, white bedsheets or blankets, and hang a white or blue sheet in the background. Enlist a friend to shoot pictures while your family pretends to zoom down the hill on a toboggan. This effect is particularly funny if you happen to live in, say, Arizona. |
| 2. | To make the card, trim the poster board to 7 by 10 inches, folding it in half for a 5- by 7-inch card. Glue a 5- by 7-inch piece of red paper onto the front. Center your photo over this, and secure it with photo corners. Decorate the border with the rubber stamp. |
Variations
If you prefer a homemade but less comical card, take a
traditional family holiday portrait (in front of a decorated
living room fireplace, for example) and mount it in the same
manner as the toboggan picture. Then decorate the border with a
variety of rubber stamps, such as stars and ornaments.
