Let your child spread her love Jackson Pollock-style with these paint-flecked Valentine's Day cards.

Prep Time: Under 1 hour
What you need:
 Paper
Smocks
Newspaper
Old toothbrush
Watercolors
Seasons: Valentine's day
Materials: paints, paper
Instructions:
1.Fold a piece of paper into a card shape, and from additional paper, cut simple heart shapes.
2.(This stage is messy, so kids should wear smocks and work in an easy-to-clean spot.) Lay the shapes in position, put the card on newspaper and, with an old toothbrush, splatter with watercolors.
3.Wait until the paint is dry, then remove the shapes and inscribe.

What a fun idea!! You could also load the watered down paint into a small spray bottle. How about rubber stamping or adding a colorful sticker inside the "heart" left by the cutout?
