Let kids boost the excitement quotient of their wheels with bells and streamers. This can be a fun craft for you and your guests at the Ultimate Bike Birthday Party.
| Prep Time: 30 Minutes or Less | |
| What you need: | |
| Flagging tape (also called surveyors' tape; available at
hardware stores)
Large and small jingle bells | |
| Seasons: Birthday | |
| Materials: flagging tape | |
| Instructions: | |
| 1. | BEFORE THE PARTY Cut four 12-inch lengths of flagging tape for each guest. |
| 2. | AT THE PARTY Set out the lengths of tape and jingle bells. Have guests tie a large bell on the end of a length of tape and a small bell to another piece (younger kids may need help with this). Tie both lengths of tape to the end of one handlebar so that the two bells hang down and clank against each other. Let kids tie on more tape to create decorative streamers if they wish, making sure the tape stays safely clear of spokes, gears, and other parts of the bike. |
