Ruler Pencil Greeting card | |
| Seasons: Year round | |
| Materials: pencil, scissors | |
| Instructions: | |
| 1. | Cut a greeting card in half along the fold. For the box
top, use a ruler and a pencil to lightly mark the front half of
the card with 6 lines, evenly dividing it into 4 rows and 4
columns, as shown. |
| 2. | Using the ruler to make even creases, fold and unfold the card along lines A and B. |
| 3. | Fold and unfold the card along lines C and D. |
| 4. | With scissors, cut along lines A and B from the top of the
card down to line C, and from the bottom up to line D. Refold the
card along lines A and B, folding in the corner flaps, as
shown. |
| 5. | Fold the remaining flaps over the ends of the box and tape or glue them in place. Repeat these steps with the back of the card to create the box bottom, but make the folds and cuts just inside the marked lines to ensure that the bottom will be slightly smaller than the top. |
