What Parents Should Know
Parents need to know that the only thing in this song that
they might not want their kids to emulate is the idea that your
life will fall apart without a significant other. But, the
dramatic sentiments are also very heartfelt and touching. The
music video is just as theatrical, but just as harmless.
Families can talk about music collaborations. Why are so many
artists doing it these days? Can Jordin Spark carry her own
songs? Does it matter if you're popular enough, or does a
star-studded album get more attention? Families can also
discuss whether the Sparks-Brown pairing is a good one.
"NO AIR" is the second single off Jordin Sparks . It's a clean pop love duet sprinkled with an R&B sound.
After her commanding performance on American Idol , fans were a little worried when Sparks' first single, "Tattoo" kind of tanked. But, Chris Brown is the perfect complement to Sparks, with both young singers shining as they hit every note on "No Air" with intention and power. The song is desperate without being unreal, catchy without being obnoxious. Despite the weird instrumental break toward the end and the fact that it's a bit cheesy, this track is solid, and the perfect anthem for any teen romance movie.
