Book Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)
JKR crafted a fitting end to the series and I will certainly miss it. While I enjoyed this last book I felt that Snape should have enjoyed a more active role, culminating in one last, glorious act.

Once I picked this book up, I was hooked. This is the best of the series. I laughed and cried, their definately more sadness than joy till the end, but what a perfect ending to everything. Not since "The Lord of The Rings" has a story gripped me so from start to finish. I never did imagine such a perfet ending to Harry, Ron, and Hermoinie's epic tale. Rowling is now forever in the rankings with the world's greatest authors.

This book was absolutely amazing. I especially like all of the references to "the Boy Who Lived." Since I am the Girl Who Lived, it felt kind of special. The epilogue was brilliant, nothing cheesy but a good ending. I'm gonna miss Harry!

This was indeed a wonderful read. Parts of it were slow, but other parts were absolutely brilliant. At times I had the feeling JKR had been reading fanfic over her shoulder as she wrote.

Unlike the previous books, HP7 begins and ends with death. The book is slow in some areas for good reason: it allows the reader to 'feel' the sense of dread our young friends are experiencing on their quest.
On a personal note, I was sorry to begin reading knowing it would be the last in the series. It is a good read though and am sure everyone will agree Rowling did a great job bringing old friends back to help in the fight against You-Know-Who.

Despite the loss of some characters readers have come to love over the run of the series there was a sense of closure by the end of the book. It was definitely the most heart wrenching of the books, but it was also probably the most grounded in the sense of a real world fight between good and evil. In such a fight there is going to be casualties. I appreciated getting plenty of new background information on some key characters which answered many questions brought up by the other six books.

Honestly, this wasn't my favorite book in the series. I felt like this was the first one that I couldn't really share with my children. As we would be reading, I found my voice giving out at times due to sadness and unexpected deaths. Unfortunately, my children will not be knowing the end of the Harry Potter series until they are much older, but I'm glad to know what became of Harry. It was a good book, but defintely more violent than the rest.

How could anyone not read the last? It was good, I think that a few of the chapters could have been left out or the extra detail could have been spared, but you must read to see what finally happens. Have read the entire series of books, not once but twice and enjoyed them all. However, I didn't feel as though the final was as climatic as it should have been and at times a tad boring, my daughter fell asleep at parts, which is highly unusual considering I have read all of them to her and this had never happened before. Overall A- for deathly hallows. J. K. Rowling you've done it again, I only wish I had the insite to pull myself out of a similar situation as yours when you first started your series on Harry Potter! Great Story!!!

The book was amazing, I helped with my local potter party at my work and bought the book right afterwords and finish 11pm sunday night. I had to work in between so i could finish as fast most. She left it open for spinoffs. Great book I cried, got angry and so happy at the end for all the characters.
Great book
