What Parents Should Know
Judy can open up a whole world of childhood feelings, from moods to friendships, for thinking and discussion. Her creative, never-quit attitude is a good example for children.

Common Sense Media Review
She's Ramona, with attitude. She's impulsive, moody (of course!), often crabby, and completely charming. She calls her little brother "Stink," keeps her family fizzing, and always has an idea. Megan McDonald's aptly named, feisty, creative little heroine has middle-graders chortling even as they recognize themselves and their friends. Packed with lots of witty cartoon illustrations by Peter Reynolds, McDonald's wickedly funny take on life in third-grade is right on the money. Rare!

From the Book:
Judy Moody ran back to her room and peeled off her shirt. She took out a fat marker and drew a big-mouthed shark with lots of teeth. I ATE A SHARK, she wrote in all capitals.
