What Parents Should Know
The story has the clarity and concision of a news broadcast, with the same riveting tone, and the artwork couldn't be more softhearted and engaging.

Common Sense Media Review
Author/illustrator William Joyce creates an effective air of mystery reminiscent of Chris Van Allsburg in the board-book adapation of an episode from "Dinosaur Bob and His Adventures With the Family Lazardo."

Readers are drawn into the story and accept the fact that a dinosaur has human friends and plays baseball. He effectively mixes an old-fashioned American scene with elements of the exotic: The Lazardo family's turbaned servant appears on the pages and feels right at home on a baseball field.

Another dinosaur of huge charm can be found in Claire Masurel's Too Big, illustrated by Hanako Wakiyama.
