Tunes, Tots and Tube: Rock On!

"Oh Tootles" sings my 1 1/2 year old. If I am not mistaken,Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, while amazingly fun, incorporates much of its content on The National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics and National Association of Educators of Young children's joint statement. Mickey Mouse clubhouse offers great musical cues throughout the show. Math and Music go together like peanut butter and jelly. Or, in this case, Mickey and Donald.

Often when my 1 1/2 year old is looking for something or someone she sings out, for example, "Oh Mommy!" or "Oh Shoe!" after the example set on the show. The sing-song quality of the show has been a lovely aside with our young one as we have our 4 year old watch the show for the age-appropriate mathematical reasoning so well incorportated into the show. This keeps our digital recorder almost half full with episodes to watch as a family. :)
