# 3 of 5:   How she told her friends and family Trig has Down syndrome


After the birth of son Trig, Sarah sent a personal email to close friends and family explaining that the baby had Down syndrome. "Many people will express sympathy, but you don't want or need that, because Trig will be a joy," she wrote. "Children are the most precious and promising ingredient in this mixed-up world you live in down there on Earth. Trig is no different, except he has one extra chromosome."

I was not surprised to see that when the election was over and the news stories looked at in detail there was unfair and biased reporting done by the majority of news agencies. The negative and personal attack stories done on Sarah Palin were in the hundreds, John McCain's number was less than one hundred and there were only a few dozen negative stories on Barack Obama and Joe Biden. There was an admission from some news agancies that they did slant their coverage--very few admissions that if they had it to do over again they'd do it differently. I'm disappointed that this seems to have put the political process into the genre of a popularity contest and it is based on who can spend the most money-not who is the most qualified..Shame on the general public for not looking behind the curtain to see who was really running the show...

Sarah Palin, you had our vote! And always will. You are the epitomy of what every Mom would love to be! Smart and educated, funny and energetic, feminine, yet strong from the inside.....Our country would have been so blessed to have you as Vice President, and I am confident that we have yet to see the last of what a great leader you are. You are a tremendous role model to my 2 daughters, a respected figure-head to my 2 sons and you just may be the name-sake of my 5th child, due in January. (That is IF the child is a girl!) Thanks for standing up, being proud and showing us all what kind of Americans we should be! Go Palin 2012!

Sarah Palin is not qualified for any national office. She has a highschool mentality of what it measn to be president or vice-president of the most powerful country in the world. Anyone who punctuates her conversation with "like" does not have the class required to work with educated, dignified world leaders. We do not need a "joe 6-pack" to represent us to the rest of the world---what a laugh she would make of us. She should stay in Alaska, shoot moose and keep an eye on Russia. I'm sure she is the reason we have not been invaded from the north by the Ruskies.
