More Info on Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2

The Story: It's three years after they found those magically fitting pants, and smart, sassy, Tibby, Lena, Carmen, and Bridget are out of High School, on break from college (NYU, RISD, Brown, and Yale respectively -- did I mention they were smart?), off on summer adventures like archeological expeditions and the Summer Stock stage. But, it's not all smooth sailing. Lena's mourning her breakup with Kostas. Bridget's still mourning her mom. Tibby has had a potentially life-changing disaster. Carmen, whose mother is remarried and expecting a baby, is feeling out of the loop. The pants are more of an afterthought in this episode, but their presence seems to coincide with some magical reversals of fortune.

Good If You Liked: Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Gilmore Girls (TV Series), Mean Girls

Heads Up: Older and more mature means older and more mature problems. There's a little Sex and the City Lite going on, and while a night of sex and a broken condom isn't shocking in that serial, it may leave moms' mouths agape here. There's also some drinking (Tibby and Brian share a bottle of wine, right before the aforementioned condom "malfunction."), though it's not clear exactly how old they're supposed to be. The subplot of Tibby's potential pregnancy has her cringing whenever someone apologizes for being late -- you'll hate yourself for laughing.
