While many child stars have difficulty transitioning into adult roles because the audience can't seem to view them as anything but adorable, Dakota Fanning passed that torched to her little sister, Elle and got on with it. Most notable for her breakout role in I Am Sam, Dakota grew up before our eyes while displaying some preternaturally fierce acting chops -- against Tom Cruise in War of the Worlds and Denzel Washington in Man on Fire, to name a few. She began acting at the age of 5, appearing with Ray Charles in a television commercial. Now 14, she's recently completed filming with Jennifer Hudson and Queen Latifah in the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel, The Secret Life of Bees. 10-year-old Elle, meanwhile, began her equally impressive career playing younger versions of several of Dakota's characters before scoring her own starring role in the movie Daddy Day Care. She most recently starred as a young Cate Blanchett in Brad Pitt's forthcoming The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
