Movie Review: Enchanted

I didn't really think "Enchanted" measured up to Disney standards. I was also disappointed because Disney came out with a new princess, yet Disney still does not have a black princess. There's Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Belle - all white Europeans. Ariel the mermaid princess, Pocahontas is Native American, Jasmine is middle-eastern, Mulan is Asian. The only Disney princess I've ever seen as a representation of Africa is the one who is part of the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. This would've been a perfect opportunity to introduce an african or latino princess, since Giselle is a Disney original character.

My 9 year old daughter and I loved the movie "Enchanted", I think this may have taken over first place as our all time favorite. Your stars were perfectly picked, and brought the dream world of fairy tales to life for us, much like a visit to Disney World. Thank you for making so many dreams come true for "little girls" of all ages for so many years, and many more to come.

My husband and I took our 3 year old daughter to this movie. All three of us absolutely loved it. This is truly a family film with enough in it for both children and adults. My daughter now has a new favorite princess---Giselle. We also fell in love with the music; my daughter has been singing and dancing to it since we purchased the album on iTunes. A truly magical film!

I took my six-year-old granddaughter, Autumn, to see this movie, and we were both "ENCHANTED"!!

I am so happy to read this review. We had considered seeing this flick as our big family movie outing over the holiday break last weekend but chose August Rush instead (big thumbs up, in my book!). Now, I can't wait to get to this one, too!
