Representing David, this six-pointed star graces the Israeli flag and is Judaism's most recognized symbol worldwide. String a slew of these stars for a dangling Hanukkah decoration.

Tips
Parents should supervise carefully: the points and edges of the star are sharp.

Prep Time: Under 1 hour
What you need:
 Sturdy scissors
Aluminum foil pie plate
Blue paint and brush
Ribbon or yarn
Gold or silver paint pen
Hole punch
Seasons: Hanukkah
Materials: foil, paints, ribbon
Instructions:
1.Cut off the fluted edge of the pie plate. Draw a six-pointed star on the foil circle.
2.Cut out the star and coat both sides with blue paint.
3.Use the paint pen to decorate the middle of the star with the word "shalom," which means "peace" in Hebrew. Then punch a hole in the top of the star and thread it with ribbon. Hang the star in a window or string several together to make a mobile or garland.
