Try this simple all purpose soil mix for outdoor containers.

Measure Equal Parts

- Top Soil - Peat Moss - Perlite

Directions

Before filling any container be sure you cover the drainage hole. We recommend a coffee filter. This will prevent your soil from leaking out from the bottom of the pot.

- Fill the container leaving about 2" from the top.

- Add slow release fertilizer to the surface as directed on the label

- Starting in the center of your container add plants working out.- Place plants close together and when you are finished press firmly.

- Water thoroughly.

Containers can dry out quickly, so you may need to water often in the summer months. By adding mulch or water-absorbing polymers to the soil mix, can help retain moisture. If there are multiple pots, try using a drip emitter system with a timer for consistent watering. Check your containers regularly to see if soil is getting the adequate amount of water.

These containers can house anything, vegetables, flowers, shrubs or trees. Let your imagination create a container landscape in outdoor your space!
