Muppet Memories
I'll always remember the first time I saw the Muppet Movie with my son. He loved it so much, we even went to a travelling muppet stage show.

Great piece - thank you! Like others, I've tried to introduce The Muppet Show to my kids. When I first put in the DVD and said, "This is a show mama loved when she was a kid" my daughter replied, "But mama, it's not in black and white!" Geeze, I'm not THAT old. :-P
I also really love the movies.

My daughter has only shown a little interest in the Muppets, but we put the DVDs on every now and then in the hopes she'll latch on. I want to get the Sesame Street DVDs, too.

Much like AmyHo7, my kids have no interest in the Muppets, Sesame Street, etc. -- much to my chagrin, and no matter how hard I try! They don't appreciate anything retro, no Flintstones, no Jetsons. :::sigh::: They tolerate the DVDs I bought them of H.R. Pufnstuf (remember him?!), and have shown a passing interest in The Munsters, but that's about it. Oh, well, at least they enjoy the old movies I've rented for them: SpaceCamp, Parent Trap, Freaky Friday ... and my son and I bond over the Star Wars movies!

Glad to see the Muppets return, even though I cant seem to get my son to watch shows from my "era", such as Sesame Street. So disappointing. I love those shows! And Mr Rogers and 3,2,1 Contact...at least Id get to relive my youth which is impossible now since all get to see/hear is DORA DORA DORA the EXPLORER.

This is such good news. The Muppets are timeless, even though today's kids probably won't have a clue who '70s guest hosts like Elton John and Mark Hamil are. It's something you can watch with kids while you both enjoy it on different levels.
