Inspired by: Bolt
Looking for an Easter treat idea that's ideal to hand out in your child's classroom or scout troop? Inspired by the famous television star Bolt, these paper eggs feature an inner pocket you can fill with a handful of Easter candy, stickers, and trinkets. Not only do they prove this endearing canine is the super hero he's cracked up to be, but the pattern is so simple, you'll be able to make a whole bunch of them in a flash.
You'll need:
- Bolt egg template
- Scissors
- Scrapbook paper
- Black cardstock
- Glue stick
| 1. Print the template and cut out the pieces. Trace the whole egg and the lower eggshell onto scrapbook paper and cut out the tracings. Use the remaining template to cut a bolt-topped pocket out of black cardstock. | ![]() |
| 2. Glue the lower shell to the black cardstock cutout, as shown. | ![]() |
3. Apply glue along the curved edge (but not the jagged upper edge) of the black cardstock and press it firmly atop the whole egg to create a pocket you can fill with Easter goodies.
