The Great Green Challenge
Here's My Great Green Idea!
My daughter,Kelsey, wanted to start a recycling program at her school. She started by getting the Principal and some teachers to back her. Next, she emailed the School District's Superintendent about the project. Meanwhile, Kelsey decorated & placed bins without the school to collect the recycleables. Every Thursday, Kelsey gathered all the recycleables & brought them home the the curbside pick-up. With help from the school newspaper supervisor, Kelsey educated the sudents & staff to recycling. After 7 months of dragging home recycleables, Waste Management and School District came through with large recycling cans & a recycling hopper for the school as well as for any school in the district that wanted to join the "green" parade.
