The Salient Corn

Here's My Great Green Idea!
My idea starts off by planting corn in the urban areas of americas cities. From my research, the cellulose from corn can be converted into fuel used to power vehicles and is enviromentally friendlier than fossil fuels. Teenagers or young college students can volunteer and help plant the corn plants whereever there are abandoned buildings(planting them inside the buildings, in controlled rooms), or vacant lots or abandoned parks. My idea can stop some of the dependence of oil from terrorism supporting countries such as Iraq, Sudan, Venezuala, and Iran. My idea can lower gas prices for american consumers;who are paying way too much for gas. This can give inner city kids something to do other than engaging in delinquent behavior. My idea can make cities, such as Detroit;where there are numerous abandoned buildings, look more descent. Then the diesel trucks that would transport the corn to the converting warehouses/buildings would be powered by grease or vegetable oil to be even more environmentally friendly. From my additional research, vegetable oil can be used in diesel trucks by way of a simple kit. The grease to power the diesel trucks would obviously come from local restaurants.Simplier put, my idea is to get our dependence off of oil and onto other alternatives, so earth can not go through a global warming.
