Here's My Great Green Idea!
On one of my chats with my mailman, he mentioned how heavy his load was due to magazines. As the conversation furthered, I found out that 13 people on my block were receiving the same magazines.
My idea is to have a magazine swap with my neighbors and friends. With one magazine passed to the next person every couple days.
This will not only save my mailman's back but will save gas, trees, and cut down on waste for those that normally don't recycle the used magazines. Not only that but this is a great way to become close to your neighbors and to spread the GREEN word around.
In one year, by doing this with only one magazine, my block alone can prevent 144 magazines from polluting this great earth!
Just think what the possibilities are if many people take part!
