Green-Themed Wedding

Here's My Great Green Idea!
As a new young married couple-to-be, my fiance, Matt and I decided to extend our eco-conscientiousness to our wedding. We are planning to "green" every aspect of the memorable occasion, from the venue to the wedding rings we chose, which will be sustainably recast from existing gold.
D Acres organic farm in Dorchester, New Hampshire, site of our ceremony and reception, strives to improve "human relationship to the environment" through educating the public about sustainable practices.
Our invitations and envelopes are made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper, which enabled us to save natural resources such as trees and water, and lowered our contribution of greenhouse emissions, energy, and landfill space.
Our guests will be contributing to our "green" efforts by purchasing wedding attire second-hand, partaking in the carpools we have organized, eating a vegan meal during the reception, and donating money to an environmentally-ethic organization instead of purchasing gifts.
Through these practices Matt and I hope to not only make our wedding as environmentally-friendly as possible, but to involve others so that they may begin implementing "green" practices in their every-day lives. The $5,000 award could pay for our green wedding, which would really help an eco-conscious couple starting out!
