The Great Green Challenge
Here's My Great Green Idea!
When I first started my job at a small accounting office, I was shocked to learn that they didn't have any kind of eco-friendliness there. They did not recycle anything and went through tons of plastic utensils and Styrofoam cups. I'm no "tree hugger" but there's just something about being wasteful that really bothers me. Within six months, I had recycle bins by every printer and copier and in the staff kitchen. I even bought reusable coffee mugs for everyone in the office so they could use those instead of the Styrofoam cups in the kitchen. Now, even the Vice President of the firm (pictured left) supports our office going green and is creating incentives for staff to be more Earth conscious, like giving spot bonuses for people she catches in the act of being green!
