Here's My Great Green Idea!

My daughter and I like to make unique cards and gift wrap by recycling magazine pages, fabric, trim and novelties.

First we search through magazines for articles that reflect the recipient's personality such as ballet, gardening or sports. Then we sift through our box of gift bags, boxes and ribbons that we've received. Sometimes we create collages, other times we connect full pages to create wrapping paper. Next, we trim the artwork off the fronts of old cards to create pop-ups or to make new mini cards.

It's a fun way to personalize our gifts, plus it saves money and makes us feel good to reuse the pretty papers we receive instead of just throwing them away.
