The Great Green Challenge
Here's My Great Green Idea!
My husband and I have been trying to make a real effort to be green and to teach our five year old son the importance of being kind to our Earth. I have to say of all the changes we have made the biggest for me has been switching my cleaning methods. I emptied out my cleaning closet of all chemical cleaners and replaced them with natural products such as baking soda, vinegar, and castile soap. I also stopped using paper towels and switched to rags which get rinsed out and reused. To clean my glass I use newspaper which I then recycle. The process is easy and cleans just as well as my old products had. I am happy with my decision because it gives me the confidence to know that what I am flushing down my drains is not going to do damage to the environment. Also there are no harmful substances for my son to get into trouble with. But perhaps the biggest bonus, besides my peace of mind is that cleaning green is a real money saver!
