The Greenest Ever

Here's My Great Green Idea!
Good Day!
In our house instead of doing the usual flower garden this year we have planted some beautiful vegetable plants in addition to flowers. By doing this we are on our way to self sustainability while being green. We don't use pesticides. There are amazing ways to be pesticide free by being organic. For example for certain burrowing pest by putting pieces of garlic rids the unwanted visitors. Lady bugs are awesome too in that they eat bugs like red aphids. We have installed a series of drip systems to water more efficiently thus conserving useless excess watering waste. I am going to check out an urban farm in the area that has adapted their shower to preserve the gray water to help water the gardens. We were planning on redoing our bathrooms and this will be the perfect time to make the changes. Out with the old in with the new and improved!
We take our reusable grocery bags when doing our shopping. Our whole house buys local organic produce. For lunches at school and work we use reusable containers and not plastic bags. We have stopped buying bottle water upon finding out that it takes four times the amount of water just to give you that one bottle of water. Not to mention the method of how that water got to you. Wasting gas and oil that pollutes our environment.
When taking our puppy to the dog park we use bio degradable bags for the waste.
When cleaning the house we use green phosphate free cleaning products. These products cost a little more but it's the quality not quantity factor that rules our world.
When My Daughter was a baby I used cloth diapers of course.
We are still learning but we on the right road! We do all of this to try to leave as little as a foot print as possible. Thus by conserving and recycling our resources.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Jennifer LaPrad
