The Great Green Challenge
Here's My Great Green Idea!
My sons, inspired by two of their friends, have donated their "birthdays" to the World Wildlife Fund and The Nature Conservancy. In lieu of gifts at their birthday parties, they have asked for donations to help save their favorite animals -- tigers and jaguars. They donate the birthday money they collect to help protect the habitats of the animals they admire. They were inspired by two friends -- all of the children are elementary age -- who have been "donating" their birthdays for the last couple of years. In addition to the birthday collections, the boys put aside part of their allowance each week to continue collecting money to help save tigers and jaguars from extinction.
