The Great Green Challenge
Here's My Great Green Idea!
I recycle friends and family lint, old candles, and paper eggs cartons to make fire starters for our wood stove and for camp fires at Camp Glen. Put lint into paper egg cartons, melt old candles in a #5 can (place can in water and keep at low boil), pour wax over lint to seal in lint. Allow to cool, tear each section apart...these make great fire starters! I store them in ice cream buckets with a packet of matches, so no moisture can get into them in the summer when you take them out for a camp fire!
