The Great Green Challenge

Here's My Great Green Idea!

At one time, it wasn't unusual to see clotheslines out in people's backyards with mom's diligently hanging out their families freshly washed laundry to dry. This past practice was not only time consuming but inconvenient. These days mom's and dad's are using their at home time to spend "quality" time with their children and with each other. The clothes dryer is not only quick at doing the job of drying clothes but convenient as well. One strategy I have come up with to lower the amount of time of heavy articles of clothing and linen in the dryer is to hang them on top of doors, doorknobs, or backs of chairs to let them air dry while I put lighter articles in the dryer to dry first. Allowing time for air drying cuts down on time in the dryer and cuts back on your use of gas and electricity. You will be pleasantly surprised at the savings on your next energy bill.
